Dressing up

This is the beautiful dress that I wore out on Friday night for a friend's birthday. Felt very glamourous in it ...which is unusual for me! 'Tis from Topshop and I have since been informed that the studded pattern is apparently bang on trend, although I'm happy to say no one else was wearing anything like it on Friday.

Absolutely love it.

Victory Rolls

An almost obsessive fascination with the 20th century inspires me to no end, and one thing I have always wanted to do is wear my hair in victory rolls. This is coupled with the fact that one of my biggest idols is the gorgeous Gwen Stefani, who's platinum blonde locks are often styled in to the most gorgeous and sleek 1940's-esque rolls.

Unfortunately I am currently sporting a rather stylish, sleek, inverted bob, which it turns out... not the best cut  to wrestle into one of the most glamorous and iconic hair styles of the mid 20th century. However I have found a brilliant little tutorial Victory Rolls In a Jiffy from a treasure trove of a blog titled Diary of a Vintage Girl, that I am going to save for when my hair is a little longer.
