(Another) Song of the day: Jar of Hearts - Christina Perri
"You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Don't come back at all"
Song of the day: Pushing Me Away - Linkin Park
Nothing like a bit of Linkin Park to wake you up on a Tuesday morning ...which is like a Monday morning only a day later. This is a nice mellow version though - not quite the one I used to wake me up, but gorgeous and worth listening to.

One very happy girl!
So I'm a girl, I love shoes and make up and shopping and cupcakes and have ridiculously over the top aspirations for life, but I am also pretty down to Earth and love rock music, guitar players, comedies that most girls find offensive and... football!
When it comes to football, blue is most definitely the colour.
And as a Chelsea fan last night was one of the most nerve wrecking nights ever, but it was clearly written in the stars. There is no other explanation (well, other than as the commentators mentioned, Chelsea's sheer bloody minded-ness) for how the match panned out. As it went to penalties I could barely watch, for there have been far too many times when Chelsea + Penalites = Disappointment. But I needn't have worried, because... THEY DID IT!
I was literally so happy, that yes there were tears.
I woke up this morning and actually had to check t'internet to make sure it hadn't all been a dream. But no, no it wasn't. Chelsea WON the Champion's League!
It's been a long time coming, but it was well worth the wait!

Woodley or Walford?
When did life get so complicated?!
Things happen on Eastenders and you think man, that's outrageous, but hey it's Eastenders, this shit doesn't happen in normal life... right? I wish! It turns out that apparently it does! Honestly, the Eastenders script writers would have had a field day with some of the goings on around here the last few months. You wouldn't even believe half the stuff that's happened even if I told you. Some of it sounds like nothing but isn't quite as 'nothing' as it sounds and some of it sounds crazy and is, well... just actual crazy!
Worst thing is I thought, despite the previous closure and many attempts to let go and move on, that the love of my life was someone worth being there for and supporting and helping through and being there for until the end of the crazy. And yes, even when I tried to walk away to save myself, I never really gave up hope that crazy was just a phase (in my defence he gave me signs and suggestions to back this idea up) and that one day we'd be reunited even if I'd moved out or tried to move on, but regardless of that I, for some stupid reason said sod me, lets make sure he's ok. Well that certainly back fired didn't it?
So crazy is out the picture now, or is supposed to be ...who knows if she really is or if she's just plotting her next move. And although I always thought we would get through anything (including crazy!) now I'm not so sure. I can't be the only one fighting for it, if I am there's no hope.
Re-reading old messages from him, reminding myself why I deemed him worth remaining loyal to all this time, I also realised something. Despite his promises of spending the rest of his life with me until the day after my 101st birthday (it's a long story) ...he actually only wanted to be with me (well keep me captive in the bedroom, which thinking of the film Misery I may have misunderstood!) until the day after my 91st. A simple mis-calculation in the excitement of love or a bad omen from the start?

Guitars, drums and desperate poetry
Friday 13th April 2012, Wembley Arena, London ...Frank Turner absolutely rocked it!
There was an amazing old school spirit to the whole gig. From support act Beans on Toast crowd surfing his way to the back of the arena, to the stewards being overun by people dancing on the balcony, to the entire arena sitting down of their own accord in preperation for the last chorus of Photosynthesis. That's not to mention Frank dragging his mum on stage to play the harmonica, him getting TATTOOED back stage during the gig, dueting a bit of Bob Dylan with Billy Bragg and his amazing cover of Somebody to Love ...I could keep listing magic moments but it just won't do last night justice. You really had to be there.
The video wasn't taken by me (gotta love YouTube) and doesn't do it justice either but still well worth a watch!

Closure
The last five months have been filled with lies. Lies that left so many things unanswered about the end of my relationship with 'the one'. It's funny how a little truth can make such a big difference. How far a little honesty can go.
No more anger. No more need to fake a smile and put on a brave face. Just time to live and let live.

Let's get bogling...
I am still buzzing from Monday's line up annoucement. Reading Festival is literally my favourite weekend of the year and just check out those headliners... The Cure, Kasabian and the Foo Fighters. I am soooooo excited.
To be fair last year's 'bogle' of a festival is gonna be pretty hard to beat, but this year's line up is a very good start! YMAS, Florence, The Vaccines, Eagles of Death Metal, The Gaslight Anthem, Kaiser Chiefs ...amazing! Everyone is also raving about Bullet For My Valentine and I hear The Black Keys are brilliant too ..a little bit of YouTubing and Spotify-ing to be done there. Seriously, I'm soooooo excited! August can not come round quick enough...
